DC Looks Better From A Historic Row Point of View

Our location is unparalleled, midway between the White House and the U.S. Capitol, and just off Pennsylvania Avenue. The Residences at Historic Row sits in Penn Quarter, one of DC’s most vibrant and historic neighborhoods. We’re just steps away from many of the city’s most fashionable restaurants, the Smithsonian Museums, numerous private galleries and so much more. Historic Row: the ultimate in an urban address.

Transportation

Our location, across from the Gallery Place / Chinatown Metro Station and just a few blocks from Metro Center and Judiciary Square, is the ultimate in convenience. What’s more, you can zip out of the neighborhood using ZipCar (their office is a few blocks away) or CapitalBikeShare (a major hub sits outside our door on 9th Street).

Food & Drink

With one of the highest concentrations of restaurants, Penn Quarter / Chinatown offers a spot for every craving. Our favorite go-to when it comes to pop-ups, mainstays, and what’s trending is the Washington DC itineraries blog.

Shopping

If you’re a fashionista, you surely know about CityCenterDC; the unofficial hub of all things luxury. Spanning a few city blocks, this retail destination also hosts lots of activities. Check out their experience page here. You can browse the retailers as well as calendar of events.

But that’s just the tip of the shopping options. Downtown DC has the full range of offers from H&M (reopened in the old Woodies Department Store) to Blick Art Supply to Off Saks. All walkable from Historic Row.

Culture

Washington is almost like no other city in the country with dozens of museums so you can experience everything from Dorothy’s Ruby Slippers to a commemorative U.S. stamp issued in her honor. Many are free, but this directory helps you prioritize the best of the best.

If you already know which museum you want to go but want to confirm hours or other details, check out this directory by Washington DC Museums Open Now.
